Movie Reviews

The Lifeguard:
3/5
This movie was a slap in the face. The movie starts showing the current state of Lee and her life in the big city, you see her facing the realities of a career and a life and the struggles that everyone must face. Instead of facing these issues she runs home to live with her parents and work at the local pool where she worked when she was in high school. The rest of the movie follows her attempt at regaining her childhood instead of growing up. There are a few scenes that are intense and I would not recommend watching it to those who are sensitive to sexual conduct or language. I personally felt I related to the movie seeing as how it is the story of my life, I live at my parents, work where I did in high school, hang out with younger people, and am doing my best not to grow up. This was a good movie, a little long, and a little drawn out but worth your time if you have nothing else to watch. I may be giving this a little more credit than is due (this could be because I love Kirsten Bell) but never the less I would recommend you check it out.
